April 10-11 / TRAVEL DAYS

Flight from US / International Arrival, Cairo

Upon arrival at Cairo Airport, you will be met by the ITC in-country representative who will facilitate the visa process and escort you through customs and immigration. Continue on to the baggage claim hall and finally to the passenger pick up, where we will load the bus and drive to your overnight accommodations. Enroute visit the Citadel of Salah El Din, and the Muhammad Ali Mosque situated high above the city for beautiful views of the Cairo skyline. Early dinner on the Nile River before transferring to your hotel for check in and the balance of the evening at leisure.

April 12 / CAIRO

Today, you will enjoy a full day tour of the ancient Memphis, Saqqara and the pyramids at Giza. Drive south to Memphis first to visit this ancient capital of Egypt during the Old Kingdom, where the Alabaster Sphinx and the statue of Ramses II were rediscovered. Continue your tour to the Step Pyramid of Saqqara. After that, marvel at the most iconic and largest pyramids at Giza and the mysterious Sphinx, a colossal lion with a pharaoh's head.

April 13 /CAIRO

After the breakfast, you will explore the fantastic new Egyptian Museum near Giza, which houses a magnificent collection of Pharaonic antiquities, especially the golden treasures of Tutankamun. Later, you will proceed to Old Cairo. Here in the small streets of a bustling city we’ll take a short walking tour of Coptic Cairo, the traditional location of biblical events in Egypt including the story of the infant Moses, hid along the banks of the Nile, and the young family of Mary, Joseph, and Jesus as they escaped from Herod. Finish the trip at the Khan El Khalili Bazaar to browse and shop.

April 14 / CAIRO - MT. SINAI

After breakfast, you will begin your journey from Cairo across the Sinai Desert to Saint Catherine’s Monastery. Here on Mt. Sinai, Moses received the Ten Commandments for the children of Israel. Evening at leisure to prepare for early morning sunrise hike to the top.

 

April 15 / JORDAN

St. Catherine - Jordan

Early this morning you will make the ascent to the pinnacle of Mt Sinai. After returning to the hotel, the group will travel by bus to the Taba Border Crossing into Israel near the resort city of Eilat on the Red Sea. From there we proceed to the Arava Border Crossing into Jordan, traveling a similar route to the that of the children of Israel as they escaped the Pharoah in the Exodus and began the forty years of wandering in the wilderness. Arrive that evening at Wadi Musa.
