Jordan

The Wilderness Adventure Continues....
MT. NEBO

According to the final chapter of the Book of Deuteronomy, Moses ascended Mount Nebo to view the Land of Israel, which God had said he would not enter. According to Christian tradition, Moses was buried on the mountain, although his place of burial is not specified.

It is not difficult to imagine the Israelites getting their first views of Israel from here or Moses rejoicing to see the Land that was promised.

WADI RUM

Let's grab a jeep and go, deep into the deserts of Jordan where we no doubt see the rocks and plains associated with the wilderness wanderings of the children of Israel.  On your 2 hour, 4x4 ride, you'll have a real sense of the majesty of the area known as Wadi Rum and made famous by the character known as Lawrence of Arabia.

The overnight stay a local Bedouin camp puts you under the stars and at the table of some of best food you'll eat on tour! An experience to remember!

PETRA

The red-rock city of Petra is found between the Red Sea and the Dead Sea and has been inhabited since prehistoric times, The captial city of the Nabateans, Petra became a major caravan centre for the incense of Arabia, the silks of China and the spices of India, a crossroads between Arabia, Egypt and Syria-Phoenicia.

Petra is half-built, half-carved into the rock, and is surrounded by mountains riddled with passages and gorges. An ingenious water management system allowed extensive settlement of an essentially arid area during the Nabataean, Roman and Byzantine periods. It is one of the world's richest and largest archaeological sites set in a dominating red sandstone landscape.
