Two months ago, to my complete shock, Sara said, “I wonder what it would be like to visit Israel again now in my newfound freedom.”

Honestly, I never saw it coming. I was planning another trip in 2000, when COVID intervened and shut it down. But now we are going again in 2024 and you’re welcome to join us.

If you’ve never been to Israel, you have no idea what it means to—

• to look out across the Sea of Galilee and contemplate all that happened there,

• to stand on Mt. Carmel where Elijah confronted the prophets of Baal,

• to pray alongside 2000-year-old olive trees in Gethsemane,

• to be in the city where God chose to reveal himself to the world and accomplish the redemption of humanity.

Those things profoundly shaped my life in the three trips I’ve taken there as it has for others who have gone with me. I touched the earth where Jesus walked. I saw first-hand the sky, hills, valleys, and waters where he lived out his physical life. This was his earthly home!

And if you’ve never been on a Lifestream/God Journey Tour you have no idea the amazing people you are about to meet from all over the world, who cherish the same realities about God and his love that you do. You’ll be blessed at the life-long relationships that will grow over the ten days we spend together at table, in the bus, and while we enjoy some of the most amazing sights in human history.

We’re making room for forty people to come with us as we journey through Scripture’s story. I’ll be sharing some thoughts at key locations designed to stimulate personal reflection. And as we go along, we will enjoy a joint conversation about how God is revealing Himself in us. 

The Israel Tour Company, known for intimate tours that allow people to absorb the culture and history of the land, is planning our time. We have chosen to travel in February since the weather is comfortable in the desert locations, it is less crowded, and we can take a smaller, more
intimate group more affordably.
